Testimonials

As a tenant of Oak Lodge Apartments for 15 years, I would like to say that I have been proud to live here.
The outside of the property is well kept up, with beautiful flowers and trees etc.

The apartments, in my view, are well maintained as well as spacious. When repairs are required it is done almost immediately without a hassle.

The appearance of the entrance is very well kept up. The laundry room, as well as the recreation room, are always very clean as well as the hallways.

In my 15 years here I have been very happy and hope to be here for many more years.
Just a note to let you know that we appreciate and enjoy our home here at Oak Lodge.
We hope to continue our residency here for many years.
Thank you again for the opportunity that you have allowed us.
In 1981 my family home was sold and I made what I thought would be a temporary move to Oak Lodge terrace in Simcoe. Some 29 years later oak Lodge is still my home. Shopping, churches, the public library and the post office are but a short walk away. The building and grounds have always been maintained and welcoming for special occasion dinners and celebratory events. When I moved in, I found the other tenants to be many of my friends from curling, golf, bridge and community interests and I felt comfortable here. I remain so. The foyer of Oak Lodge is just one of the many spacious well decorated rooms that set the gracious tone of the building. As I, Oak Lodge may be aging but is wearing well and is still up to the demands of today!
Way back in his secondary school years, Fred witnessed the day by day construction of Oak Lodge Terrace in downtown Simcoe, taking the place of a fine old estate.

What an architectural five storey masterpiece – the first and still most appealing and sought after large apartment / condo complex in our town!

He also enjoyed the privilege of attending the official open house. The opulence of the building floor plans and decor was unbelievable. On that occasion Fred resolved that someday he would have the opportunity to live in this one-of-a-kind, upscale edifice.

The vision was fulfilled when Joan and Fred moved in, in 2000. We have enjoyed ten years of quality living in our well-designed two bedroom apartment with its huge twenty–four feet wide balcony. This ideal outdoor living space is unique in its size and privacy to relax and to tend to our floral garden.

Lavolit Properties Inc. and their current superintendent, Jim Bruder, constantly take particular pride in maintaining a highly attractive, clean and safe environment within the building and throughout the spacious park–like grounds. The lawns and flower beds are well manicured in their season. Snow and ice are quickly cleaned during winter months from sidewalks, parking lots and even vehicles!

We are truly impressed with the diligence, ready availability, widely varied skills and personal compatibility that Jim provides in performing his multiple duties; the residents are in very capable hands with Super Jim!

Constant upgrading and replacement programs are ongoing throughout the complex. Windows, doors, carpeting and other flooring, kitchen cupboards, first-time dishwashers, heating and plumbing systems, plenty of painting, brickwork repairs, extended parking areas and new directional signs are among the ambitious projects that have enhanced our “Union Street Manor” in the past ten years.

Our sincere appreciation to owners, management, staff members and trades people for providing such gracious living accommodations at the prestigious Oak Lodge Terrance.
